Mix all dry ingredients in a big baking bowl. Mix milk, syrup and oil to finger warm (ca 37°C) and add to the flour mix.
Kneed until a smooth dough and let raise for 30 minutes.
Take it up on the counter and divide into four equal pieces. Form to buns and place on a oven tray. Brush the buns with water and add the sesame seeds. Let raise another 25 minutes.
Mix the egg in a cup and brush the buns gently. Bake for 8 minutes in 200°C until golden brown. Let cool on a grid.
The first time we made these they didn’t bake properly in the middle. Next time we will try to make the buns a little bit smaller or not as round so they bake through and make sure we don’t take them out too early. A very nice hamburger bread!
