Pite Cake

7 dl (700 ml) flour
1 tbsp baking powder
4 ml vanilla powder
1 egg
3 dl (300 ml) sugar
3 dl (300 ml) milk
100 g melted butter

Topping:
0,5 dl (50 ml) cocoa
5 dl (500 ml) oats
1.5 dl (150 ml) sugar
200 g melted butter

Mix flour, baking powder and vanilla powder in a bowl. Whisk egg, sugar and milk. Add the flour mix and the melted butter and mix.

Pour the batter in a large oven tray dressed with grease proof paper.

Mix all ingredients for the topping and spread on top of the batter. Bake for 15 minutes in 225°C.

Found this cake today on Internet. Sounded good, lasted a couple of hours (and the hubby wasn’t even home) = loved by the children. Definitely a new favourite. Called Pitekaka in Swedish after a city called Piteå.
