Peal the potatoes. Cut them almost through, in thin slices. Put the potatoes, with the cut side upwards in an oven tray. Brush the potatoes with the melted butter and sprinkle with salt. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes in 225ºC, until soft.
Brush a few times during baking.
Optional, spread bread crumbs or cheese on top during the last minutes of baking.
